Finally in Belgrade: Vladimir Radmanovic (Red Star)

FIBA rescinds ban

December 17 - International basketball federation (FIBA) finally decided to allow Yugoslav teams (Red Star and Buducnost in European league and Radnicki in Saport Cup) to organize matches in European championships as hosts in Yugoslavia.

So, on January 6, Belgrade Red Star will play in "Pionir" hall as a host to Greek team Panathinaikos, while Buducnost is going to play in Podgorica in "Moraca" hall versus Israeli Maccabi.

The first half was interesting with several lead changes. But in the second-half Yugoslavia was far superior in every department. Yugoslav guards, Lara Mandic (7/11 2PFG, 3/3 3PFG), Gordana Bogojevic, and Gordana Grubin were the key players in convincing victory over Croatia.



Yugoslav Cup, Quarter-finals - final matches

Zdravlje Leskovac surprisingly beat Yugoslav champion Buducnost Podgorica 88-86 (37-37) on the first day of the quarter-finals tournament in Cacak. Buducnost had a 86-85 lead, but Cvetkovic made a three-pointer with two seconds left and secured the triumph for his team.
