YUGOSLAVIA - Macedonia 33-22

Kragujevac, Yugoslavia, January 19 - Yugoslav male handball team scores fifth victory in qualifications for the World Championship in France, after defeating Macedonian team with 33-22 (17-9)

The victory of Yugoslavia wasn't a matter of discussion at all. About 4.000 supporters could enjoy attractive play of Jovanovic, Matic, Skrbic and other players of Yugoslav team, which realized with this victory the right to participate in the World Championship.


Qualifications for Men's Handball World Championships in France 2001, Euro-zone, Group 4,Round 5, Kragujevac, Yugoslavia, January 19: YUGOSLAVIA - Macedonia 33-22 (17-9)

Hall "Jezero" in Kragujevac. Attendance: 4,000.

7 metre shots: YUGOSLAVIA 3 (2), Macedonia 3 (1).

2 minute suspensions: YUGOSLAVIA 8, Macedonia 4 minutes.

Results: 6-2 (4), 12-4 (16), 14-4 (20), 15-8 (26), 21-11 (37), 25-15 (45), 31-19 (55).
