Kapakli, Turkey, March 5 - The Yugoslav athletics national team attained magnificent success at the 45th Balkans Cross-Country Championships, which was held today in Turkey.
The titles of the Balkans' champions were won by: Mirjana Kalajdzic in 4.000-meter race for the women's juniors, Olivera Jevtic in 6.000-meter race for the women's seniors and Dragoslav Prpa in 12.000-meter race for the men's seniors. Jevtic won for the fourth time the title of the Balkans' cross-country champion.
In the team competition, the Yugoslav men's senior team were the best, for the first time after 1989, the women's junior team won the second place, while the women's senior team reached the third place.
