On March 8th, in its "Arco Arena", Sacramento defeated Charlotte 105-92, and Vlade Divac gave a performance of the season by scoring 27 points (12/20 2P FG, 0/1 3P FG, 3/5 FT), with 11 rebounds (8+3), 4 assists and 2 steals, in 43 minutes. After the first half, the Hornets led 55-45, but the hosts, mostly thanks to the member of the Yugoslav national team, turned the result around and marked a convincing victory.

Bozidar Maljkovic

In the Korac Cup, "Yugoslav" finals will be played. The team led by coach Bozidar Maljkovic, the Spanish UNICAJA, in the two semi-final matches, defeated Adecco Estudiantes (85-72 at home and 47-53 away), while the French Limoges, team of yet another Yugoslav coach, Dusko Ivanovic, without much difficulty triumphed on its home court against the Italian CB Casademont 69-57 (the first match 77-77).

The Italian Kinder placed itself in the semi-finals of the Saporta Cup, after it, in the two quarter-final matches, defeated the Spanish Pamesa. Even though, in the first match, the team from Bologna marked a convincing victory - 85-61, the second-leg match did not pass without excitement, since the Pamesa, led by the Yugoslav coach, Miki Vukovic, was only a step away from victory. Predrag Danilovic, who was the best player of Kinder, ensured that this does not happen by scoring 21 points (6/7 2P FG, 1/5 3P FG, 6/6 FT), 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 38 minutes.
