Olivera Jevtic won the fifteenth place

On the first day of the 28th IAAF World Cross Country Championship in Portuguese Vilamoura, best Yugoslav woman athlete Olivera Jevtic won the fifteenth place in the race of senior women athletes on 8,080 meters long track. Jevtic did not take part in the next day's race on 4,180 meters long track due to injury.

Among other Yugoslav athletes, Mirko Petrovic won the 105th place in the men's junior 8-km race, while Mirjana Kalajdzic was the 81st and Marina Muncan the 88th among 135 contestants in the women's junior race.
