Scoring a glorious goal from a free-kick, Yugoslav Sinisa Mihajlovic gave Lazio a triumph over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London and secured Italian team place in the UEFA Champions' League quarter-finals.
Hosts opened the scoring through Poyet in the 45th minute, but guests from Rome produced a stunning second-half comeback. Simone Inzaghi levelled after 54 minute and the highlight of the game came in the 66th minute when man of the match Sinisa Mihajlovic scored from a trademark free-kick.
Lazio ended competition in Group D as a winner and became the first away team ever to beat Chelsea in 34 European matches stretching back to 1958 at Stamford Bridge.

On March 18 Sacramento recorded a 104-83 away win against Los Angeles Clippers, although Kings had a deficit of 23 points in the 2nd quarter. Thanks to two Yugoslavs, Vlade Divac and Predrag Stojakovic, who were the best Kings' scorers, guests prevented surprise and celebrated another triumph in NBA league.
Divac scored 20 points (8/12 2P FG, 4/8 FT), with five rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 35 minutes. Stojakovic added the same number of points (4/6 2P FG, 4/9 3P FG, 0/1 FT), two steals, one assist and one rebound.

After Italian Cup, Sisley Treviso won another trophy this season. In the men's volleyball Champions' Cup final in Treviso, before 4,000 spectators, Italian champion beat German Fridrichshafen 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-15) and recorded the second successive triumph in the strongest European club competition. One of the key player of the match was Yugoslavia's and Sisley's Nikola Grbic (on the photo with a trophy).

German Kiel and Spanish Barcelona are only a step away from the men's handball Champions' League final match. In the semi-finals first-leg match in Kiel, hosts convincingly beat Croatian Badel 1862 Zagreb 32-21. One of the best Kiel's player Yugoslav Nenad Perunicic was practically unstoppable and scored six goals.
Barcelona's players were also inhospitable. Spanish team won Slovenian Lasko 39-25. Yugoslavs Dragan Skrbic, Rastko Stefanovic, Dejan Peric and their teammates from Lasko have little chances to erase the deficit of 14 goals in the second-leg match.
