Leskovac, Yugoslavia, April 2 - At a meeting in Leskovac, the Yugoslav Basketball Federation proposed to their parliament that one import player per club should be permitted.
The Federation said that this was part of the program to improve
Yugoslav basketball. This means that the door for foreign players is still
open but the federation did not want to take responsibility for the
decision because the Experts Council and Coaches Association are
against it.
The deadline for signing foreign players (and Yugoslav players who were
previously playing abroad) is 3 days before the start of the season.
