Hypo - Buducnost 29-27 (11-14)

Buducnost from Podgorica

Austria, April 30th - The team Buducnost from Podgorica did not manage to place itself into the finals of European Women's Handball Champion's League, since it was defeated in the second-leg match from Austrian champion the team of Hypo Niederosterreich with 29-27 (11-14). The first-leg match in Podgorica, ended with a tie 28-28.

Hypo Niederosterreich started the match well and led 10-5. Then visitors achieved even nine goals in a row, and received only one, thus they went on a break with three goals advantage - 14-11.

At the beginning of the second half, Yugoslav champion led 20-15 and in those moments it seemed that it was very close to the finals.

However, the women players of Buducnost started to make mistakes in series. The experienced team of Hypo Niederosterreich used that, and first tied the score to 22-22, and then, led with four goals of difference. Buducnost managed, at the end of the game, to reduce the advantage (27-28), but it could not do more than that.
