Yugoslav men's volleyball national team, as a guest, scored two victories in the first four rounds of the World League, and still has great chances to place itself into the final tournament of this competition.
However, the fact is that the Yugoslavs` play is changeable. They excellently started the competition in the World League, beating their host Italy in Bari. Nevertheless, the Italians had their revenge in the second round.
Their tour in Canada began with a surprising defeat from the host's national team, but, only 14 hours later, the Yugoslav volleyball players showed their true, champion face, and in only 70 minutes defeated Canada.
Next weekend, Yugoslav national team will be on a tour in South America and it will play two games against Argentina, which defeated Italy in the third round. After that, Yugoslav volleyball players will be hosts for the teams of Italy, Canada and Argentina, in Belgrade and Novi Sad. This will be a chance for this talented generation to place itself, for the first time, into the final World League tournament, which will be held from 10th to 16th of July, in Holland city of Rotterdam.
