Rotterdam, Netherlands, July 14 - In the fourth round of the final tournament of the World League, Yugoslav men's volleyball team won Brasil with maximal result - 3-0 (25-21, 30-28, 25-16).
With this triumph Yugoslavia provided playing a game for the third place, but, in case of victory over Italy in the next round match, will qualify for the final and fight against Russia for wining first place in the World League.
The first match of the day between Yugoslavia and Brasil was very important. Both teams needed a win. Yugoslavia in order to keep their chances for the final, and Brasil to stay in the tournament for Sunday.
In the first set, both teams stayed equal till 20-20. When Brasilians made mistake, Goran Vujevic produced an ace and Yugoslavia won the set.
After Yugoslavia took a three points lead in the beginning of the second set, Brasilians managed to equalize the score at 21-21. Just in time, Vladimir Grbic produced a deciding powerful strike (30-28). In the third period Brasil was to weak to win.
