Yugoslavia - Russia 78-73

Zadar, July 23 - Junior men's basketball team of Yugoslavia won the fifth place at the European Champion since it triumph over Russian national team with 78-73 (43-41) in the fifth place match.

The fifth place of the Yugoslav young basketball players is no consolation since they were considered to be leading favorite for the gold medal before the Championship had begun.
