Yugoslavia vs. Turkey 78-58

Ohrid, FYROM, August 6 - Young Yugoslav basketball national team (players under 20 years of age) has won the fifth place at the European Championship in Ohrid, after having defeated the Turkish national team 78-58 (37-31).

In an exciting final match in Ohrid, the Slovenian national team defeated Israel 66-65 (26-34) and become the European Champion. Spain defeated Croatia 82-77 and took the bronze.

The coaches of all 12 national teams, together with Becirovic, who was elected the best player, have chosen Radmanovic from Yugoslavia, Macedonian Ilijevski, Gosten from Spain and Bagaric from Croatia for the best five of the championship.

The first four teams have qualified for the young basketball players World Championship which will be held in Japan next year.
