Yugoslavia - Italy 6-5

Yugoslavia, Krusevac, August 11 - In the third round of the last tournament of "A" group of the European League, which is played in Krusevac, under the title "Yugoslav trophy 2000", Yugoslav water polo team won Italy with 6-5 (4-0, 1-1, 1-2, 0-2).

In this way, Yugoslav water polo players won the first place in "A" group of the European League and provided participation together with Italian team and two first-placed teams from "B" group at the final tournament, which will be held in Italy at the end of year.

Our water polo players distinguished themselves in the first quarter, when they functioned excellently in the attack and defence, so they attained advantage over four goals of difference in their favor, which showed unreachable for the excellent Italian team.
