Belgrade, August 12 - Water polo team of Yugoslavia placed in the finals of international tournament "Yugoslav trophy 2000", since it won team of Holland with 9-5 (4-2, 2-0, 1-2, 2-1) in Belgrade.

Yugoslavs began game strongly, determined to create noticeable advantage in order to avoid uncertainty in the ending. They succeeded in those efforts, so, after two quarters they had large advantage over four goals.

Everything that weaker Dutchmen succeeded was to approach closer to Yugoslav players to three goals of difference, after the third quarter.

Among the best Yugoslav players were Danilo Ikodinovic and Veljko Uskokovic.
