Yugoslavia vs. Russia in Belgrade on November 15
Geneva, Switzerland, October 2 - FIFA has postponed Group 1 qualifying matches for the Football World Cup between Yugoslavia and Russia, and between Yugoslavia and Faroe Islands, it was stated in Geneva.
After the consultations, FIFA officials have assessed that "there are no necessary safety conditions" and that the matches should be postponed.
According to this decision, the match between Yugoslavia and Russia will be held in Belgrade on November 15 instead on October 7. Yugoslavia will play Faroe Islands in Belgrade on April 25, 2001 instead on October 11.
