"Vladimir the Great", the best volleyball player in Europe

Luxembourg, October 19th - European Volleyball Federation (CEV) has proclaimed Vladimir Grbic the best player in the year 2000. Official proclamation of the best European player in this year will be held in Vienna, in December.
CEV has been awarding this prize since 1997. The first winner was Vladimir's brother Nikola Grbic, then Italians Marko Bracci (1998) and Andrea Giani (1999).
This season, Vladimir Grbic won the Italian championship with Piaggo team. He has performed excellently in the World League, and at the Olympic Games he won the gold medal with the Yugoslav representation.
