YUGOSLAVIA - Romania 2-0

Goa, INDIA, January 20 - Yugoslav football national team placed itself into the semifinals of the Millennium Cup in India, after defeating Romanian national team with 2-0 in quarterfinal match.

During the whole match, the Yugoslavs proved to be a better rival and created more chances. Captain Sasa Ilic only confirmed Yugoslavia's domination by scoring a goal in 32nd minute, and already in the 43rd minute, after Igor Bogdanovic`s goal, our team had unreachable 2:0.

Yugoslavia's victory could have been more convincing if goalkeeper Lucic had not missed a penalty shot in 82nd minute.

On Tuesday, January 23rd, in the semifinal match of the tournament, Yugoslavia will play against Japan.
