Great success of Nenad Zimonjic

Melbourne, AUSTRALIA, January 24 - The best Yugoslav tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Wayne Arthurs (AUS) qualified for the semifinals of Australian Open in men's doubles, after defeating first-seeded team of the tournament, Daniel Nestor (CAN) and Sandon Stolle (AUS) with 4:6, 7:6 (7:5) and 6:4 in the quarterfinals.

This is the biggest success of Yugoslav male tennis in the last ten years.

Melbourne, AUSTRALIA, January 23 - Jelena Dokic and Nenad Zimonjic defeated Kevin Ullyett (RSA) and Cara Black (ZIM) with 6:3, 1:6, 7:5, in the mixed doubles second round of the Australian Open, but they had to pull out of the next match against Ellis Ferreira (RSA) and Corina Morariu (USA), due to Dokic`s back injury.

- I injured my back while swimming in the pool - Dokic said - It is not that bad, but I cannot play in the double. I do not want to take any chances.

Thus this year's Australian Open is finished for Jelena Dokic, since she was eliminated earlier in the singles and in the women's doubles.
