Melbourne, AUSTRALIA, January 28 (Reuters) - Two Yugoslavs triumphed in the junior championships at the Australian Open, living up to their top seedings and capturing their first major titles.
Janko Tipsarevic beat fifth seed Wang Yeu-Tzuoo of Taiwan 3-6 7-5 6-0 to win the boy's singles crown while Jelena Jankovic beat Sweden's Sofia Arvidsson 6-2 6-1 to take the girl's title.
Wang gave Tipsarevic, the top ranked boy in the world, a run for his money in the first two sets with the 16-year-old Yugoslav Davis Cup player looking poised to self destruct in a flood of errors.
But Tipsarevic turned the match around at 5-5 in the second set in two
hard-fought games then crushed 15-year-old Wang in just 17 minutes in a flawless third set display.

On the girls' side Jankovic, who lives in Florida, lost the first two games then ran away with the next 11.
Sixth seed Arvidsson, 16, got herself back on the board in the second to last game before 15-year-old Jankovic confidently clinched the match on her own serve.
