Red Star stadium

Belgrade, February 17th - Yugoslav football first division match between Red Star and Partizan, which should have been played today in Belgrade at Red Star's stadium, was postponed and the new date will be subsequently determined, Yugoslav Football Association (YFA) announced.

YFA safety commissioner has, after consulting the Ministry of Interior Affairs, estimated that security conditions for the match had not been fulfilled.

Red Star's president Dragan Dzajic has warned about the problems caused by delaying of the derby.

"The championship must be postponed until the match between Red Star and Partizan is played. If we wish to keep the regularity of the championship, its second part cannot begin before the end of the autumn part. We all together must find a solution which will not cause damage to Yugoslav football", Dzajic said.

Yugoslav football first division match between Red Star and Partizan was interrupted on October 14th after fans riot.
