Belgrade, February 26 (agencies) - The Yugoslav Football federation (FSJ) announced the appointment of former Under-21 coach Milovan Djoric as national coach, replacing Ilija Petkovic, who resigned last month.
Djoric was sacked as Under-21 coach last year after his Yugoslavia side lost 3-0 to England in Barcelona, in a play-off for the European Championships. He has since been coaching in Shanghai, China.
Djoric's only international experience came with El Salvador, whom he coached for two years before returning to his homeland to take over the Under-21s.
