Jevtic sets new national record

Lisbon, PORTUGAL, April 1 - Yugoslav athlete Olivera Jevtic came eighth and set a new national record at the women's half-marathon in Portuguese Lisbon. She timed at one hour, nine minutes and 34 seconds for the 21,200 metres.
Susan Chepkemei ran the fastest ever time for a half-marathon by a woman to beat a field, which included the Olympic 10,000 metres champion Derartu Tulu in Lisbon today.
South Africa's Hendrik Ramaala won the men's half-marathon.
Behind Ramaala came Paul Tergat, as second, and Evans Rutto, as third.
