Milano, ITALY, April 10 - Yugoslav international Vladimir Jugovic was responding to reports at the weekend saying that he did not want to play for his country again.
The former Sampdoria, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Lazio player said on Tuesday: "There has been a misunderstanding. My comments has been mistranslated and I will be available to play against Russia on April 25 - if they want me.
"I said that I didn't want to comment on suggestions that Djoric (Yugoslavia's coach) wants use younger players. But I didn't say that I wouldn't play.
"Djoric was in Milan and told me that I am needed for the team against Russia on April 25. We had a nice conversation. I didn't say no to anything and I will play if they want me to."
Yugoslavia lie fourth in their World Cup qualifying group, behind Russia, Switzerland and Slovenia.
