Sacramento - Phoenix 116 - 90

Divac (Kings) rejects a basket by Cliff Robinson (Suns)

Sacramento, USA, April 26 (agencies) - Predrag Stojakovic scored 22 points (FG - 7/15, FT - 7/8, 3PT - 1/3, 6 rebounds) and Williams had 18 as the Kings evened their first-round playoff series at 1-1 with a 116-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. Sacramento's center Vlade Divac added 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.

After the team's nervous performance during an 86-83 loss in Game 1, the Kings' coaches Rick Adelman spent two days persuading the players to get back to the strengths of their team instead of allowing the Suns to dictate the tempo. With all that clearly in mind, Sacramento cruised to a blowout victory.

The Kings charged to a 22-point lead in the first half and never let up on the way to the franchise's biggest playoff victory since April 7, 1951, when the Rochester Royals won the first game of the NBA Finals.

Sacramento made a pair of 8-0 runs during a 25-8 surge and took a 22-point lead with 31/2 minutes left in the first half. The Kings led 95-63 after three quarters, stretched the lead to 34 points and cruised through the fourth period.

The series now shifts to Phoenix for Game Three on Sunday.
