Lakers sweep Kings

Bryant goes after a rebound along with Kings' Stojakovic (16)

Sacramento, USA, May 13 (agencies) - The Los Angeles Lakers, led by 48 points from Kobe Bryant, completed a four-game sweep of the Sacramento Kings with a 119-113 victory on Sunday, their 15th win in a row.

Even after Shaquille O'Neal fouled out, the defending NBA champion showed no mercy in wresting away control in the fourth quarter to advance to the Western Conference finals.

The Lakers, who trailed 84-80 after three quarters, won the final quarter 39-29 as Bryant, who finished with a game-high 16 rebounds, scored 12 of his points. He finished 15-for-29 from the floor and 17-for-19 from the foul line.

O'Neal wound up with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Derek Fisher added 20 points.

Hidayet - Hido Turkoglu scored 22 points as the Kings' best season in two decades ended with a standing ovation from their grateful fans. Predrag - Peja Stojakovic, silenced by Rick Fox the rest of the series, had 26 points. Vlade Divac had 18 points and 10 boards and Christie scored 15 points for the Kings, who did a good job of containing O'Neal early but were unable to harness Bryant, who averaged 35 points in the series. Chris Webber, in what was probably his last game for the Kings, scored 21 points - just two in the fourth quarter - on 8-for-25 shooting with six turnovers.

The Lakers, who won their last eight regular-season games and all seven playoff games so far, await the winner of the conference semifinals between the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks.
