Florence, ITALY, June 15 (Reuters) - Italian Cup winners Fiorentina announced on Friday they had completed the signings of Yugoslav international midfielder Dejan Stankovic and Sweden's Daniel Andersson.
The 22-year-old Stankovic moves to Florence after three seasons with Lazio while central midfielder Andersson joins from relegated Bari which he joined in 1998.
Stankovic has been unable to hold down a regular first team place at Lazio this season after initially showing some promise following his move from Red Star Belgrade.
The Serb, who can operate on the flanks or in a central attacking role, played with current Fiorentina coach Roberto Mancini at Lazio.
"Everything has gone well and I have signed a five-year contract," Stankovic told reporters. "I feel I have a big responsibility to do well here. I am hoping for the best and I am sure that I will learn a lot more from Mancini".
No details were given of the transfer fees paid for the two players.
