YUGOSLAVIA - Poland 3-0
Despite two previous losses on Day 1 and Day 2, Yugoslavia advanced to the Men's World League semifinals.
Having lost both games, Yugoslavia's only chance at qualifying for the final four was to convincingly defeat Poland, and then hope that Brazil do the same to France tonight, leaving it equal to France on points, but ahead on sets for-and-against.
Yugoslavia played against Poland like Olympic champions should play. The Sydney Olympic champions played with a technical precision and intensity.
