Bunjevcevic cleared to join Tottenham
London, June 29 (Reuters) - Yugoslav international defender Goran
Bunjevcevic has been granted a work permit and can now begin his new
career at Tottenham Hotspur, the English premier league club has
announced.
The London team signed the Red Star Belgrade captain last month for a
fee believed to be around four million pounds ($5.62 million), subject to
him gaining a permit from Britain's Department of Employment.
The club were told on Friday that his application had been successful.
The 29-year-old central defender, with 14 caps, will be an important
addition to the Tottenham squad following the club's failure to persuade
England defender Sol Campbell to stay.
