Ostrava, CZECH REPUBLIC, September 12 - Having beaten Italy 3-0 in the fourth round, Yugoslavia, Olympic golden medallists, secured first place in Pool 2 of the European Men's Volleyball Championships.
On Thursday, September 13, Yugoslav national team will face Germany.

After the match
"It was very hard match for us. We can be seriously satisfied with
our feat on the court. We finally finish this group as the first and it is good report. That match was very psychologically hard" (Nikola Grbic, Yugoslavia's captain).
"We lost important match, but Yugoslavian team was better. We
must concentrate for another match against France. We will do everything for a victory. My team came to the Championships to qualify among the best. We can not go home after the matches in a group" (Andrea Anastazi, head coach of Italy).
