Jugovic fails to reach next round

As expected, Sintelon easily advanced to the Cup EHF next round after beating Italian Papillon, Yugoslav champions Lovcen recorded their first win in the Champions League Group A, while Jugovic failed to reach 4th round of the Challenge Cup.

Cup EHF for Men, Round 3, second leg, Backa Palanka, YUGOSLAVIA, November 18

SINTELON Backa Palanka (YUGOSLAVIA) - A.S. PAPILLON Conversano (ITALY) 30-24 (15-10). First leg in Conversano: 29-23 for Sintelon. Yugoslav team advanced to the next EHF Cup round after beating Papillon 59-47 on aggregate.

" Tikvara" Hall in Backa Palanka. Attendance: 1,200. Referees: Bashev and Dobrev (both from Bulgaria). Penalties: Sintelon 2/2, Papillon 6/6. 2 minutes suspensions: Sintelon 16, Papillon 4 minutes. Red card: Andjelkovic (Sintelon). Best scorers: Pavlovic (7) for Sintelon; Paulsen (9) for Papillon.

Challenge Cup for Men, Round 3, second leg, Constanta, ROMANIA, November 18

CONSTANTA (ROMANIA) - JUGOVIC Kac (YUGOSLAVIA) 27-16 (10-8). First leg in Kac: 31-23 for Jugovic. Romanian team advanced to the next round after beating Jugovic 50-47 on aggregate.

City Hall in Constanta. Attendance: 1,000. Referees: Korres and Nikolitsas (Greece). Penalties: Constanta 2/3, Jugovic 2/3. 2 minutes suspensions: Constanta 8, Jugovic 14 minutes.

Champions' League for Men, Group A, Round 2, Cetinje, YUGOSLAVIA, November 17

LOVCEN Cetinje (YUGOSLAVIA) - SPORTING C.P. Lisboa (PORTUGAL) 26-22 (13-8). Best scorers: Djukanovic and Kapisoda (six goals both) fot Lovcen; Andorinho (7) for Sporting.
