Yugoslav champions Becej will play in the Red group of the water polo Champions League, along with defending European champions Jug (Croatia). In the quarter-finals of the 2002 LEN-Trophy the first
winner of the European Champions Cup in 1964, Partizan
Belgrade from Yugoslavia, will play the winner of the first winner
of the cup winners cup, the Ferencváros Budapest. It is interesting that Aleksandar Sostar, who was appointed president of Partizan, is a goalkeeper of Ferencváros. Jadran Herceg-Novi will face Spanish Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners Cup.
