Yugoslavia to face Hungary

Belgrade, February 28 - Draw for the 12th Men's FINA Cup was held at Belgrade Intercontinental Hotel. In Group A of the Preliminary Round the home team, European Champions and World champion runners-up Yugoslavia will play the defending FINA Cup champions and reigning Olympic gold medallists Hungary.

Two (2) groups of four (4) teams form Group A and Group B play a single round robin in each group.

20. Winner Game 17 - Winner Game 18 (Winner 1^st, Loser 2^nd)

Games 13 through 20 must be played to a conclusion, accordingly it may be necessary to apply Water Polo Rules regarding extra time
