Fortaleza, BRAZIL, March 27 (agencies) - The Inter Milan striker Ronaldo played his first match for Brazil in over two years as the four-times World Cup winners beat Yugoslavia in the international friendly.
He looked in good condition and tested Yugoslav goalkeeper Dragoslav Jevric on a couple of occasions as well as setting up teammates with enticing passes.
Ronaldo linked up well with new Brazilian hope Ronaldinho, the Paris St Germain midfielder,
to tear holes in the normally water-tight
Yugoslavian defence.
Three times the Brazilians came close to opening the score in the first half,
but each time they were denied, notably when Edilson had the ball in the net
after 44 minutes only for the Paraguyan referee to rule it off for offside.

Luizao, who had come on for Ronaldo, was the scorer heading powerfully
down into the net on a cross from wing-back Cafu.
