Belgrade, April 17 (Reuters) - Yugoslavia defeated Lithuania 4-1 in a friendly played in Smederevo, Yugoslavia. Scorers for hosts were Sasa Ilic, Partizan's skipper, PSV Eindhoven forward Mateja Kezman twice and Bojan Brnovic, Zeta's attacker. Maccabi Haifa's Zutautas scored
the only goal for the visitors.
After the Yugoslavs opened the scoring thanks to Sasa Ilic's goal in the 16th minute, visitors succeeded to equalize, mostly thanks to goalkeeper Jevric's mistake. After his clumsy reaction, Zutautas used good centering from corner to score.
Pjanovic and Kezman had opportunities for home team and PSV's striker managed to score the leading goal for Yugoslavia after 35 minutes.
The Lithuanian national team used moments of drop of concentration in Yugoslav team and almost equalized. But goalkeeper Jevric cleared off Razanauskas's shot.
Kezman moved his team again scoring his second, with Bojan Brnovic setting the final result.
Yugoslav national team's manager Dejan Savicevic was satisfied with his team's play:
"Sasa Ilic especially, Branko Boskovic, Igor Duljaj and Mihajlo Pjanovic have played well. During the game I saw that players from the Yugoslav Championship can play in the national team too."
Savicevic and Lithuanian manager, Zelkevichius are "old" friends. Zelkevishius explained:
"I know Dejan Savicevic since the time he played for Red Star that won the European Champion's title. At that time Red Star played against Zalgairis and won again 4-1."
"Neither we nor Yugoslavia played in our best squad. However, the absence of my 4 main players was notable, we didn't have enough replacements. It was especially visible in the second half."
