Yugoslavia to play friendly against Germany

Belgrade, May 6 (Reuters) - Thanks to Azerbaijan's flexibility, the Yugoslav national team accepted an invitation from German FA to play a friendly match against Germany on April 30th next year.

According to the schedule, European Championship qualification match between Yugoslavia and Azerbaijan should have been played at that time.

Associations from these counties have agreed for Yugoslavia to play against Azerbaijan on February 12, 2003 as hosts, and on June 11 away.

YFA general secretary Branko Bulatovic said: "It was important for us to free up time for the match with Germany. If we hadn't agreed for 30th of April, we would wait at least two years for the match against Germany."
