Partizan secures champion's title

Belgrade, May 12 (Reuters) - Three days before the end of the Yugoslav Championship Partizan secured the champion's title. The match Partizan v OFK Beograd ended in a draw 3:3. Visitors were leading till 46th minute by 2:0. Jokic scored an opening goal at 35th minute and Stanic rose at 46th. But a minute later hosts succeeded to reduce by Cakar's goal. At 62nd minute Lazovic equalized. Ten minutes later Iliev brought Partizan leading. At 77th minute OFK Beograd's Brdjanin equalized and set the final result. OFK Beograd, which is still in dangerous relegation zone, improved a bit winning a point from this match.
Partizan coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic expressed his satisfaction: "During the championship Partizan were constantly on the head of the table. There were some oscillations in the play, however we showed good performance this season. We won the title deservingly and easily three rounds before the end of championship. We are the most convincing team both in the past and this season, but now we won the title."
