Belgrade, May 29 (Reuters) - Red Star succeeded to control the whole 90 minutes of the Yugoslav Cup final against Sartid and to beat the rivals 1-0, claiming the Cup title.
Red Star's Bogavac and Boskovic missed two good chances to score in the first 15 minutes.
In the 20th minute Markovic sent the ball into the middle of the box from the free kick. Pjanovic jumped out and headed home.
Red Star looked solid in the defense. The result could have been more convincing but when Markovic missed the net after 77 minutes.
Red Star's coach, Zoran Filipovic, said afther the game: "This was a difficult match between two good teams. We wanted this trophy and we won it. We continue the tradition of winning trophies in Red Star. This year we won the Cup, but next year we will go for double. My players were concentrated and fulfilled all tactical tasks."
