Sagadin new sports director of Red Star

Belgrade, July 15 - Slovenian coach Zmago Sagadin signed a four-year contract with Red Star of Belgrade, new member of the Adriatic League, as sports director.
Sagadin coached Union Olimpia (Slovenia), Split (Croatia) and the national team of Slovenia. With Union Olimpia he won nine champions' title (1992-1995, 1997-1999, 2001, 2002), four national cups (1999-2002) and one Adriatic League (2002). Sagadin was elected best Slovenian basketball coach three times (1998, 1999, 2001). With Union Olympia he also reached quarterfinal of the 2000/01 Euroleague.
"During last month we've reached mutual agreement on all aspects of our cooperation. I'm ready to start new project with Red Star. I believe my experience can bring the team back to glory days. Club with such great history must reach its old highs. My ultimate goal is strong European Red Star and that means domestic scene will be put on a side for the time being", Sagadin said after signing contract.
