Dusan Ivkovic new CSKA coach
Moscow, RUSSIA (euroleague.net) - Dusan Ivkovic, one of the most laureate coaches in Europe confirmed his signing for CSKA Moscow for the
next three seasons. Ivkovic, who rejected a contract
offer from the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, will try to
take CSKA back to the top of Russian basketball after
two years of Ural Great's supremacy. Ivkovic has not
moved to Moscow yet, but he'll plan the new season
and his new team from Belgrade.
Ivkovic is one of the
most laureate European coaches, as throughout his
career he has done nothing but amassing titles as the
Euroleague with Olympiakos in 1997, the Saporta Cup
with AEK Athens in 1999 and 2000, and the Korac Cup
with Partizan in 1979. Ivkovic was also head coach of
the Yugoslav NT with which he won a World
Championship in 1990, three European titles in 1989,
1991 and 1995 and two silver medals in the Olympic
Games of 1988 and 1996.
