Dokic and Clijsters win women's doubles

Manhattan Beach, USA, August 11 - Yugoslavia's Jelena Dokic, partnering Kim Clijsters of Belgium, took the women's doubles crown with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Daniela Hantuchova (Slovakia) and Ai Sugiyama (Japan) at the JPMorgan Chase Open in Manhattan Beach, California.

In the women's singles semifinal of the same tournament, Chanda Rubin of United States defeated Dokic 6-0, 6-2 in 41 minutes. Yugoslavia-born committed 40 unforced errors and hit only six winners.
