Kairat - Red Star 0-2 (HT:0-1)

Almaty, KAZAKHSTAN, August 15 - Red Star Belgrade recorded away win over FC Kairat Almaty 2-0 (1-0) in the UEFA Cup qualifying round first leg match. Scorers were Bogdanovic (43) and Mrdja (65). Kairat's Shayakhmetov was sent-off in the 78th minute.

Red Star was much weakened due to absence Markovic, Pjanovic, Lalatovic and Krivokapic.

Second leg match will be played in Belgrade, on August 29.

Bangor Citiy - Sartid 1-0 (HT:0-0)

Wrexham, WALES, August 15 - Yugoslavia's Sartid Smederevo was defeated by Bangor City in the UEFA Cup qualifying round first leg match. The only scorer was Roberts in the 69th minute.

Second leg match will be played in Smederevo (YUGOSLAVIA), on August 29.
