Igor Rakocevic to join NBA teams

Minnesota, USA, September 10 (AP/agencies) - Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team has signed their 2000 second-round draft pick, Igor Rakocevic, to a multi-year contract.
Rakocevic, a 6-2 guard, was also a member of the Yugoslav national team, which captured the gold medal Sunday at the 2002 World Basketball Championships held in Indianapolis. Rakocevic averaged 5.0 points per game in six contests during the tournament.
Additionally, Rakocevic posted 8.0 points (.545 FG%), 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 18.0 minutes per game in six contests for the Wolves' entry in the 2002 Shaw's Pro Summer League in Boston in July.
Rakocevic played the last two years for KK Buducnost Podgorica in Yugoslavia. He averaged 17.7 points and 2.1 assists last season.
