Salta, ARGENTINA, October 5 (fivb.ch) - The well-oiled Yugoslavian machine won its fifth straight match during the 2002 Men's World Championship. In second round match of the pool K, the Olympic and European Champions blew China of the court. Yugoslavia is only one small step away from a place in the quarterfinal.

In the first set, both teams started playing the same level, but when Yugoslavia started to play at the highest level, there was a gap of four points in Yugoslavian favor. Like in the past matches, the European team never gave the lead away anymore. The great performance of the Yugoslavian setter and captain, Nikola Grbic was again the key to success. The best scorers in this set were the Yugoslavians Ivan Miljkovic and Dula Mester, who scored five points each.

In the second set, the difference between Yugoslavia and China was very big. Yugoslavia showed again that the team is a candidate for a medal here in Argentina. The Chinese couldn't stop their strong opponents. The best scorers were Chinese Liang Zheng and Yugoslavian Ivan Miljkovic (four points each).

During the third set, the Chinese team finally found the answer what to do against Yugoslavia and fought till the end. This was not enough for the Asians to win at least one set. Yugoslavia grabbed the 3-0 win and remains unbeaten. The best scorer of the match was the Yugoslavian Ivan Miljkovic with 14 points.
