Olivera Jevtic tested positive for ephedrine

Belgrade, December 12 - International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) informed Yugoslav Athletics Federation that Olivera Jevtic had been tested positive for a banned substance ephedrine prior to the 2002 New York City Marathon.
Best Yugoslav female athlete finished third at the New York City Marathon by clocking in at 2:26:44, setting a national record.
Jevtic, who lost a 50,000$ prize for the third place, claimed that she accidently ingested the drug as part of her medical treatment.
