Civil unrest fears could force Wales qualifier switch

London, ENGLAND, March 24 (AFP) - Fears of civil unrest could force the switching of Wales' Euro 2004 Group Nine qualifier against Serbia and Montenegro in Belgrade on Wednesday week to another venue.

The Serbia and Montenegro Football Association raised the matter with European football's governing body UEFA following this month's assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, the BBC sport's website reported Monday.

A Serbian FA spokeswoman said the tie could be moved to the Gradski Stadion in Podgorica, Montenegro, the BBC reported.

UEFA, who late Monday gave the okay for England's qualifier in Liechtenstein on Saturday, are in talks with Serbian authorities and their counterparts in Wales to discuss alternative venues. A decision is expected Tuesday.
