Belgrade, May 24 (AP) - Police fired warning shots after football fans became violent Saturday, injuring at least one cameraman covering the game.
Several police officers and fans were injured during the fighting, apparently none seriously. Up to 20 Rad Belgrade fans were arrested, police said.
Police intervened after Rad Belgrade tied OFK Belgrade 2-2 in the last round of the Serbia-Montenegro championships, relegating Rad to the second division.
Police fired warning shots as Rad fans stormed the field at the end of the game and attacked players, coaches and referees. Cameraman Blagoje Toplicic of Serbia's state-run TV was hit by a stray bullet in his arm. Doctors said he was not seriously injured.
