SEMIFINAL: Serbia-Montenegro - Russia 11-7
Kranj, SLOVENIA, June 13 - The defending European champions are in the final again - Serbia and Montenegro (former FR Yugoslavia) beat Russia 11-7 in the semifinal of the European Championship in Kranj, Slovenia.
Viktor Jelenic scored first goal in the match. Russia's Revaz Chomakhidze equalised, but Dejan Savic and Aleksandar Sapic pushed the lead to two after 7 minutes - 3-1.
Russia tried to stay in the game, but the difference was the same after the second quarter.
After three quarters Serbia and Montenegro had more comfortable lead - 7-4 Reigning European champions put the match beyond doubt with 6:27 minutes left, as Viktor Jelenic scored his team's eighth goal. The difference remained the same till the end of the game.

Kranj, SLOVENIA, June 12 - After first half's difficulties, Serbia-Montenegro (former Yugoslavia) easily beat Germany 9-2 (3-2, 3-0, 3-0, 0-0) in the European Water Polo Championship quarterfinal.
From the second quarter, the reigning European champions made their best performance. They realised almost all the man-ups (6 of 7) and their defense was extremely well. Danilo Ikodinovic was their best scorer with three goals, but the man of the match was goalkeeper Denis Sefik with many good saves.

Kranj, SLOVENIA, June 8 - For the second time within 24 hours reigning European champions had to play more than 35 minutes. This time, Serbia and Montenegro had more more luck. Thanks to Aleksandar Sapic's golden goal in the third extra time period, they recorded second win at the European championship in Kranj.
Key moment happened in the third quarter. Tamás Kasas had opportunity to push his team's lead to two, but his penalty was saved by Serbia-Montenegro's goalkeeper Denis Sefik.

Kranj, SLOVENIA, June 7 - Russia beat Serbia-Montenegro by Irek Zinnourov's golden goal in the third extra time period.
Russia had a lead till the last minute of the 4th quarter, but Vladimir Gojkovic's man-up goal gave Serbia and Montenegro chance to gain victory in the extra time.
Dejan Savic for Serbia and Marat Zakirov for Russia ended the first extra time with 1-1 (9-9). The second extra time seemed to be decided for Russia as Revaz Tchomakhidze shot a wonderful center goal, but Serbia-Montenegro didn't give up and answered with a goal from Vanja Udovicic - 10-10.
The third extra time period has to bring the decision of the match with a golden goal. When nobody expected, Irek Zinnourov scored the golden goal from the long distance.
