Budapest, June 29
Serbia and Montenegro qualified for the Water Polo World League final tournament which will be held in August, in New York, United States. In the matches of the Group B in the
qualifications of the Waterpolo World League in the Hajos Alfred Swimming
Pool in Budapest, Hungary, reigning European champions beat United States 15-4 and lost to Hungary 7-11 and Australia 11-12.
Belgrade, July 5
Russia won Belgrade international water polo tournament "Tasmajdan Trophy". Serbia and Montenegro took second place, Australia was third and Germany fourth.
Serbia-Montenegro captain Vladimir Vujasinovic was awarded best player, while his teammate Aleksandar Sapic was the best scorer.
