Rivas, SPAIN, July 27 (fiba.com) - Having beaten Turkey 83-68 (13-14, 19-18, 30-16, 21-20) in final match of the European Championship for Cadets, Serbia and Montenegro won their 4th champions' title in succession.

Serbia and Montenegro were simply dominant throughout the tournament, finishing with an undefeated 8-0 record and an average winning margin of 23.75 points per game.

The Turks managed to keep up with Serbia and Montenegro until the 3rd quarter, when a 30-16 run from the defending champions broke the game open.

Serbia and Montenegro were led from the front by forwards Milenko Tepic (198 cm) and Dragan Labovic (205 cm). Tepic finished the game with 31 points (12/15 from the floor) and 9 rebounds while Labovic chipped in 27 points of his own. Mehmet Yagmur (185 cm guard) top scored for Turkey with 20

Nevsehir, TURKEY, July 27 (fiba.com) - Serbia-Montenegro's Jelena Dubljevic and Dunja Prcic, combined for 50 points as their team defeated Belarus in the final match of the European Championship for Cadettes.

Belarus, hungry for revenge after their first round defeat, came out strongly, using their inside strength. Serbia and Montenegro countered in the second quarter by stepping up their defense and hitting from the outside and at halftime the score was 36-35 in Serbia and Montenegro's favour. The third quarter saw Serbia and Montenegro build an 8-point lead which Belarus could not recover from. Despite reducing the gap to as little as 4 points, Serbia and Montenegro held on to win the game 73-61. Jelena Dubljevic finished the game with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals while Anastasia Verameyanka led Belarus with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
