Zagreb, CROATIA, December 11 (www.wwhc2003.hr) - In the last match of the main round of the Women's World Handball Championship in Croatia, Austria easily beat Serbia and Montenegro, who missed great opportunity to reach semifinal.
Austria was better from the beginning of the game, and after the first half put the match beyond doubt - 22-14. The best players were goalkeeper Beate Hofmann, with 19 saves, and Stefanie Ofenbock, who scored ten goals. In the team of Serbia and Montenegro the best scorer was Bojana Petrovic, with nine goals.
